Hi,
I'm Roopa Bhat living in GreenVille, SC and I've a recipe for tomato rasam Which is entirely different from the normal rasam and consumes very little time. Common do it and N'joy!

Special Tomato Rasam

Ingredients

7 Tomatoes
Coconut (1/2 cup,small)
Coriander leaves (small bunch)
Asafoetida (hing)
Fried gram dal (1/2 cup, small)
Red chilli powder (3-4 tb spoon, depends on your taste)
1/2 tb spoon sugar

For Masala

Mix coconut, fried gram, Coriander leaves, hing and few pieces of cooked tomatoes. Grind it properly.

Method :

  1. Cut tomatoes into small pieces
  2. Add sugar, chilli powder into it & keep them on a stove.
  3. After Tomatoes cooked properly, take out few pieces from it for the grinding purpose.
  4. Later add the Grinded paste into this tomato, sugar & chilli powder mixture.
  5. Add salt to taste.
  6. Keep all these together ones again on the stove for 5-10 minutes.
  7. Finally add mustard topping. That's all.
