Hi,
I'm Uma Shankar Ram, staying in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., with my husband and 3-year old daughter, Shruti. I enjoy cooking and love trying out new recipes. Bawarchi is one of my favourite sites. Hope you enjoy trying out this easy cake.

Apple Cake

Ingredients

2 Eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups powdered sugar
2 cups flour
2 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 cups diced apples

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease and flour 9 x 13 pan.
  2. Beat the vegetable oil and eggs till foamy. Add sugar, flour, ground cinnamon, baking soda, salt and vanilla essence in that order and mix well. Lastly stir in the diced apples and mix well. Pour batter into greased pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 mins. This cake needs no frosting.

Wasn't that easy? This cake tastes delicious when served with whipped cream. You can also soak the cake in concentrated apple juice and chill in refrigerator for longer life. Have fun!
