I am Uma Mantha from (Herndon) Virginia. I am a regular visitor of this site. This the the first time I am sharing a recipe with you. I learnt this recipe from my mom.

Butter Paneer Masala

Ingredients

200 gms Paneer
2 medium sized Tomatoes
1 cup Pudina
2 bunches of fresh Methi
3 Onions
2 gms Cashews
1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
4 Red Chillies
1 tsp Turmeric powder
2 tsp Coriander leaves chopped
1 tsp Garam masala
Salt
Red color
1/2 Butter stick
2 tbsp Oil

Method:

  1. Pressure cook Methi, Pudina, Red chillies, 2 onions, tomatoes.
  2. Grind them to a smooth paste. Grind cashews to a smooth paste.
  3. Cut Paneer to small cubes. Don't fry them.
  4. Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger garlic paste and fry it.
  5. Next add onions and fry well till the onion changes its colour. Grind them to a smooth paste.
  6. Then add some more oil in the pan, fry onion - ginger paste. When it leaves oil add methi paste, kaju paste, salt turmeric, Garam masala & food colour. Boil it for 3 minutes. Lastly add paneer cubes and boil it for 5 minutes. At the end add butter.
  7. Serve hot with parathas or puris.
