Jatpat Pulav
Ingredients
Basmati rice - 2 cups
Mixed vegetables - 1 cups
Cloves - 2 or 3
Cinnamon sticks
Cardamom - 2
Cashew nuts - little
Chilli powder - 2 tsp.
Coriander powder - 4 tsp.
Gram masala - 2tsp.
Saunf - pinch
Garlic ginger paste - 2 tsp.
Water - 4 cups
Salt - to taste
Lemon - 1
Coriander - 1 bunch
Method:
- Wash rice and put it on a paper or in a plate so that water gets dried. Open the cardamom (not fully) and put it to rice.
- Keep oil in cooker (Directly) add cloves and cinnamon sticks fry for 2 minutes. Add cashew nuts also and fry till light brown.
- Add garlic ginger paste and fry for 2 min. Then add vegetables and fry.
- Add all powders to the vegetables and fry till they are coated with powder.
- Add rice and fry till they get mixed with vegetables then add water and salt.
- Close the cooker lid and keep in medium flame for about 5 min without keeping the whistle. After 5 min. keep the whistle for 1 min.
- After the pressure has gone, open the lid, put ghee and lemon juice.
- Decorate the pulav with coriander.
