Hi again!
This is Shyamolika. This time, I have a very quick snacks recipe which can be served with tea, coffee, soft drinks, and even cocktail drinks. Hope you guys tried out my previous recipes: (Mixed Vegetable Moong Daal, Prawn Malaaikari). Enjoy this one! Any questions? Reach me at Shyamolika@yahoo.com
Bye for now.

Egg Bread Pakora

Ingredients

5-6 Bread Slices (New or old ones; If using old ones, soak the slices in a little milk for 7-8 minutes to soften them)
Ginger (paste or fresh grated ginger)
1 large Onion (chopped into little pieces)
Cilantro/Corriander Leaves (chopped into fine pieces; the amount would depend on your taste)
2-3 Large Eggs
Green Chillies (1-2)
Canola Oil (for deep frying)
Salt (to taste)

Method

  1. In bowl mix mash the bread slices using a little milk. Add the beaten eggs, the ginger paste. The consistency should be thick enough to be rolled into little balls and deep fried. Then add the onions, the cilantro, the green chillies, and the salt. Mix everything together very well. (For those who don't care much about excess carbohydrate intake, you can add some leftover boiled potatoes in this mix)

  2. Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Make little dumps with the dough and fry the pakoras till medium brown. The best way would be to heat the oil in high, and then keep the heat at medium-high while frying.

  3. Place some oil paper or paper towels in a plate. Put the pakoras on the oil paper or the paper towels. This helps in soaking some of the extra oil and fat from the pakoras. Dab the pakoras lightly with the paper towels. Then serve hot with your choice of drink.
