Mint Pulao

Ingredients

Basmati rice : 500 gms
Ghee:100 gms
Bayleaves and Garam masala:to taste
Ginger, Garlic and Chilli paste:2 tbsp each
Yogurt/Curd:1 cup
Chopped Mint leaves:1 cup
Salt:to taste
1 bunch Mint leaves for garnishing.

Method:

  1. Soak rice in water for an hour and then drain.
  2. Put a wok on fire and add ghee.
  3. When hot add bay leaves and garam masala.
  4. Add ginger, garlic and chilli paste and simmer.
  5. Add mint leaves, salt, water and the rice.
  6. When the water starts boiling lower the flame and let the water dry.
  7. Take out of fire, garnish with chopped mint leaves and serve hot.
