Stuffed Potato (Tiranga)

Ingredients

4 oval shape potato
250 gm green peas
4 medium size tomatoes
1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
Mustard seeds
5, 6 curry leaves
Salt to taste
1 tsp. garlic paste
1 tsp. garlic paste
1, 2 green chilies
1/2 tsp. red chilly powder
1/2 tsp. Hot spicy powder
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder

Procedure

Part I

  1. Pill potatoes and make 2 parts of each potato.
  2. Carve these half potatoes like shape of bowl.
  3. Keep these cavities in deep water. Freeze it for 2 hours.

Part II

  1. Cut each tomato in four parts, then cook in microwave for 6 to 7 min. till its skin becomes soft. Grind it in mixer.
  2. Heat oil in pan, add cumin and mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  3. Add 1/2 garlic & ginger paste, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, hot spicy powder, tomato puree and salt. Bring it to boil.

Part III

  1. Heat little oil in pan, add mustard seeds, when it splutters add cumin seeds, curry leaves, garlic, ginger paste, turmeric powder. Add peas, salt and fry it.
  2. Dry potato carved halves by paper napkin. Grease little oil to each halves. Cook in microwave for 10 min. till it is cooked well or deep fry in oil.
  3. Stuff these potato halves with peas of part III
  4. Pour hot puree in serving bowl and put these stuffed potatoes in it.

Making Time:- 45 min.
Serving:- 3 to 4
