Sago Vada
Ingredients
1/4 th kg.Sago (Saboodana)
2 medium size Aloo
4-5 tbspns. ground Peanut Powder
1 bunch Mint leaves {or a pod of Ginger (optional)}
1 bunch Coriander leaves
4-5 Green Chillies
1/2 tspn. Turmeric Powder.
Salt as per your taste
Oil for frying.
Method:
- Soak sago (saboodana) for 10-15 mts. in water and then drain the water and
allow the sago to become soft like sponge.
- Boil the aloo and mash them.
- Grind green chillis, coriander leaves and mint leaves (or ginger as per your option) into paste.
- When the sago becomes soft like sponge, put the mashed aloo, green chilli-coriander-mint leaves paste, ground peanut powder, salt as
per your taste and the turmeric powder in it and mix well and make it a
dough.
- Now convert the dough into small sized balls, press them on your palm like
patties and deep fry in the oil.
- Your crispy sago vada are ready.
Serve them hot with Tomato Sauce. It would be a good tea time snack.
