Instant Chivada

Ingredients

1. One pack unsweetened puffed wheat cereal.
2. Two-tsp. Cumin seeds.
3. 1/2 tsp. Turmeric powder
4. 3-4 chopped Green Chilies (add more or less according to taste.)
5. 1/2 cup roasted Peanuts
6. 1/2 cup salted Cashews
7. 1/2 cup dry Raisins.
8. Edible Oil for seasoning
9. Salt to taste.
10. Pinch of asafoetida. (Hing powder.)

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick vessel. Add cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and hing, chopped chilies and fry till golden brown. Lastly add salt and let cool.
  2. Mix together wheat cereal, peanuts, cashews and raisins in a large bowl.
  3. Pour oil with seasonings and mix well. Enjoy as an instant snack.
