Hi!
I am Harshita Chainani from New Jersey. This time I bring you Sindhi speciality eaten at breakfast or dinner time "Dhodho" can be made from "jowar", "bajri", or rice flour, can be either plain or masala. I bring u masala one.

E-mail : chainanid@aol.com

Juwar Jo Dhodho

Ingredients

1 cup Jowar ka atta
1/2 tsp Salt
1 Tsp chopped Garlic
1 Tbsp Oil or Ghee
1 small Onion (chopped finely)
3-4 Green Chillies (chopped)
1/2 piece Ginger (chopped)
Few Coriander leaves (chopped)

Method:

  1. Sieve the atta, add all the above ingredients knead the dough with warm water, make sure it is not too soft dough.
  2. Divide the dough into 4 parts grease the palm, take one portion of the dough smoothen on the palm and keep patting it with the hand (do not try on chakla and belan does not taste all that delicious) also to make life lot easier, dust the chakla with dry atta and keep patting one portion of the dough on it make it about "6-8 ", heat tava and roast it bot the sides then shallow fry it till crisp and brownish in colour.

Serve it hot. Tastes best when served with chutney.

It is a Sindhi speciality but who says no one else cant enjoy it so try something different and add another feather in your cap, recieve compliments and have fun.
