My name is Sandhya Gopal. I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I love cooking. This is my first recipe contributing to Bawarchi. Though we get Fruit Biscuits at fast food centres, there is nothing like home made. Hope u all enjoy it.

Fruit Biscuits

Ingredients

1 1/2 cup all purpose Flour (150gms)
More than 1/2 & less than 3/4 cup butter (100gms)
1 1/4 cup powdered Sugar (120 gms)
1/4 cup Custard powder venilla flavoured (25gms)
Few tuti Fruti for decoration
1/4 tsp Vanilla essence
1/2 Egg
1/4 tsp Baking Powder

Method:

  1. Seive all purpose flour, baking powder and custard powder.
  2. Beat the butter till it changes its colour. Add tbsp of sugar and beat it. Add egg + essence and beat it.
  3. Add all purpose flour to it and beat it. It forms like a soft dough.
  4. Make into small balls and press with the palm. Arrange them on a greased cookie tray.
  5. Decorate with tuti fruiti on the biscuits and bake them at 300o for 1/2 an hour or till they are done.

Makes : 15-20 biscuits.

Enjoy them as a great evening snack with Coffee or Tea.
