Bread Upma

Ingredients

1. 1 loaf, a day old bread (the slices cut into neat small cubes)
2.Bunch of spring onion- cut finely.
3.2 onions-cut finely.
4.1 capsicum- cut into small pieces.
5.1 tomato-cut into quarters.
6.1/4 cup-diced and cooked carrot.
7.1/4 cup-cooked green peas.
8.4 green chillies- slit lengthwise.
9. 1 teaspoon chillie powder.
10. 1/2 tea spoon garam masala(optional)
11.1/2 tea spoon jeera.
12. 2 table spoon any cooking oil.
13. Salt to taste.

Method:

  1. Pour oil in a wide mouthed kadai, when heated add jeera, when it splutters, add onion pieces, chopped spring onions.
  2. Saute for 2 minute, add cut capsicum, saute for 1 minute, add cut tomatoes, saute for 3 minutes in a medium flame.
  3. Add cooked veggie, saute well for a minute or so add chillie powder, garam masala powder, salt and stir nicely.
  4. Add bread cubes, stir very well till the bread cubes are coated very well with the masala mixture. Serve piping hot.
