Hello Friends,

I am SubbaLakshmi from Hyderabad. I am very much interested in trying new recipes. My husband Krihnagaru encourages me a lot and takes me to all the places where ever he tastes new thing and I make same thing again at home. This made me to make variety food at home. My son Avadhani stays in Tennesse state, US is also of same kind and my daughter-in-law Aruna is very innovative. They both suggested this site and we became regular viewers. My daughter Eswari has sent one item that is Vegetable moong dal attu which came in the Bawarchi. My son-in-law Sarma encourages a lot to make new items. My second son Ramesh and Lakshmi are good in many things. In short all are great cooks in our house. Try this and let me know your ideas. I personally feel that Bawarchi can make any one a good cook and food that is tried from this site has that Homely Taste. My son says this site makes every one feel that they are not away from moms like me. Happy cooking!

  4. Fry this masalapaste and bay leaves in oil and after oil starts leaving add vegetables, when they are half done add salt, haldi, and powder masala and mix well and add water. Allow it to boil.
  5. Add rice and allow it be on high flame for three minutes. When water starts boiling again keep the flame on low, then close the lid for 15 minutes.

If you cook in the non-stick cookware the biryani comes very well other wise keep it in cooker after adding rice for some time but donot keep on low flame after whistle comes for longer time. If it is electric cooker it is still better.

The Biryani which we made like this was never left away wastefully. Every one till now enjoyed and remembers whenever I meet them. Try you also and become the great admirer of all. For whole procees it takes hardly 40 minutes. Have this curd chutney with Briyani.

  2. Take two spoons of oil in kadai and heat it add mustard seeds. When it starts giving sound add curry leaves and add the cut tomato and onion and chilli.
  3. Allow it to fry for some time.
  4. Cool it and add salt, haldi, thick beaten curd and little coriander.
