Brinjal Rasavangi and Brinjal Gothsu
Kathrikai Rasavangi
Method
- Cut Kathrikai into pieces and fry in 1 tsp of oil.
- Then pour tamarind water and boil with 1/2 tsp salt,
Manjal podi (turmeric powder) - 1 pinch.
- Boil tuwar dal-1/4 cup.
For frying
Kadalai paruppu (channa dhal) - 1 tsp
Dania - 2 tsp
Red Chilli - 4
Coconut - 1 tbsp
- Fry these in 1/2 tsp of oil then beat in the mixi for
making powder.
- Then pour this powder and dal into boiled kathrikai
and pour enough water to get thickness.
- That's it Rasavangi is ready!
Kathrikai Gothsu
Method
- Take one big kathrikai heat directly in the gas on all sides and peel the
skin.
- Then mash the brinjal and pour it in a pan with tamarind extract.
- Add 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp chilli powder,
a pinch of jaggery and then boil it for 5- 10 min.
- And finally season it with mustard seeds.
A delicious gothsu is ready.
