I'm Shanti from St. Louis. I love trying new dishes and experimenting them on my husband. I have a gunnies record collection of Bawarchi's recipes. I'm posting my first recipe on Bawarchi and many more will follow. I'll appreciate your comments at boinepally@hotmail.com

Mexican Rice

Ingredients

2 cups Rice
1 cup Cabbage, shredded;
5 flakes Garlic, crushed;
2 Onions sliced;
2 Capsicums, sliced;
6 tbsp Oil;
3 tbsp Soya Sauce;
1 tbsp Chilli Powder
Salt to taste

Method

  1. Boil the rice with salt. Each grain should be separate.
  2. In a broad vessel, heat oil and fry the onions till golden brown. Keep aside.
  3. In the same oil fry capsicums for a minute. Keep aside.
  4. Then fry cabbage for 2 minutes. Keep aside.
  5. In the remaining oil fry crushed garlic for a minute. Add soya sauce, chilli powder and salt. Stir, then add rice , onions, cabbage and capsicum. Mix well.

Serve hot with Hot Sauce. Its a great dish! Enjoy!
