Hara Rice (Green Pulav) with Masala Dahi

Ingredients

For Rice:

2 medium cup Basmati Rice
Cuminseeds 1 tsp
Medium bunch of Coriander
1 cup Mint Leaves (phudina)
Green Chillies- 3 to 4
Cloves 2-3
Cinnamon sticks 2-3
Cardomom 1-2
Black Pepper
Garam Masala
Salt
Sugar
Lemon Juice.

Method:

  1. Grind coriander, mint and green chillies to make a fine paste.
  2. Take 1/2-1/2 mixture of oil & ghee in frying pan (or you can use butter or vegetable ghee). Heat it and add Cummin seeds, cloves, cinnamon sitcks and cardomom. Let it heat till cummin seeds becomes slight dark brown.
  3. Now add cooked rice to it.( Please see that the rice is cooked properly and each grain is separated ).
  4. Add the paste to it.
  5. Add salt, sugar (slightly) and lemon juice (slightly) or according to your taste.
  6. Mix properly and cook for 10 min.
  7. Sprinkle black pepper and some Garam masala over it and again mix it properly.
  8. Your Green-rice is ready. Enjoy with Masala Dahi.

For Masala Dahi:-

Ingredients:-

Dahi 2-3 cups
Salt, Sugar
Cinnamon Powder and Clove Powder
Chaat masala
Finely choped Coriander Leaves

Method :

Mix salt and sugar in dahi. Add slight amount of cinnamon & clove powder. Add some chaat masala and finally add coriander leaves. Mix well and refrigerate.
