Hi everybody,
My name is Janu. I'm living in Columbus,Oh. Here is my very first recipe. Hope everybody would like this. This eggplant gotsu is a fine match with rice and dal.

Eggplant Gotsu

Ingredients

Baby Eggplant 2
Onion (medium) 2
Dry red pepper 4
Tamarind paste 1 spoon
Oil(to fry)
Salt 1 spoon
Curry leaves 1 bunch
Turmeric powder 1/2 spoon
Asafoetida 1/4 spoon
Coconut (grated) 3 spoons
Cilentro (to decorate)

Method:

  1. Cut eggplant into medium size pieces deep fry it and keep aside.
  2. Cut the onion into small pieces. place a pan in the stove pour 3 spoons of oil in it. After it get heated put the cutted onions in it. When it becomes the golden brown in colour add the red pepper pieces and the fried egg plant pieces.
  3. Mix the tamarind pulp with half cup of water and pour it in the pan.
  4. Add the salt, asafoetida, turmeric powder and coconut. Let it boil for 3 minutes in a medium heat.
  5. After that blend it in the blender slightly for 1 sec. Pour it in a serving bowl.
  6. Decorate with cilantro leaves.
