Hi there!
I'm Lavi residing with my husband and son in Kuwait for the last 5 years I would like to share with you all my "PULAO IN A JIFFY" which has been relished by my near and dear ones.

Pulao in Jiffy

Ingredients

2 cups Basmati Rice or any long grained rice
4 cups Water
3 tbsp Oil
2 maggi Chicken cubes
A few Cloves
Cinnamon
2 or 3 small Cardamoms
2 Bay Leaves
1 small Onion sliced
one Tomato sliced
Chillies as required
1 tsp each of Garlic and Ginger paste
pinch of Turmeric.

Method:

  1. Wash the rice and leave to dry for about 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile put some oil in a vessel and when heated add the cloves, cinnamon cardamom and bay leaf. Thereafter add the sliced onions when they turns pink add the tomatoes, the ginger-garlic paste and chillies when everything has been fried well add the rice and fry for atleast 3 minutes.
  3. Add the four cups water crumble the cubes and add along with a pinch of turmeric stir gently and close the lid leaving the pulao to be cooked on a low flame.
