Hello,
I am Hema Narayanan. Been watching and even trying out few of the recipes. Here is one from my side. I learnt this one from my mother who is an expert in cooking. Hope u'll like it.

Spicy Apple Roll

Ingredients

For the pastry:
225g plain flour,
A pinch of salt
100g butter cut in cubes
1 egg beaten
1-2 tsp of icing sugar

For the filling:
100g butter, melted
450g cooking apples
75g sugar
75 raisins
1 tsp ground mixed spices

Method:

  1. Sift the flour & salt in a bowl.
  2. Add butter cubes & rub in until the mixture resembles fine bread crumbs.
  3. To this add the beaten egg & mix into smooth dough.
  4. Chill this in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 230 degrees C.
  6. Roll out the pastry to a desired shape (rectangle or square).
  7. Brush it with melted butter.
  8. Mix the remaining ingredients together & sprinkle it over the the pastry.
  9. Roll up & brush it with melted butter.
  10. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce heat & bake for another 15 minutes.
  11. Cool it.
  12. Before serving dredge it with the icing sugar.
