Egg Biryani
Ingredients
2 cups basmati rice
5 eggs
Small piece of ginger, 2 cloves of garlic
1/2 cup ghee
2 spoons dhaniya powder, 1/2 spoon garam masala
1/2 spoon turmeric, 1/2 spoon mirchi powder
1 mirchi finely chopped
1/2 cup coriander (cilentro) grated
1/2 cup mixed vegetables (carrot, peas)
one small onion finely chopped
small seasonings (cumin, jeera, cloves)
Salt, pepper to taste
Method:
- Cook the rice and keep it seperate (add a spoon of butter while cooking
for added taste)
- In a pan fry ghee, seasonings, ginger, garlic and add onions. Fry till
golden
- Add mixed vegitables, chopped mirchi, dhaniya powder, turmeric, mirchi
powder and garam masala
- Beat the eggs and add the to the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on
medium flame
- Add cooked rice, salt, pepper and mix the contents in the pan
- Cook for about 5 minutes on a medium-low flame
- Add cilentro after removing the pan from the stove. (Add 1/2 spoon lime
juice - optional)
Server hot - serves about 3 people.
