Yoghurt and Lemon Cake
Ingredients
21/2 Cup Bleached Flour (Maida)
1 Cup Sugar
3 Eggs
200gm Yoghurt
5 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 Cup Grated Almonds
2tsp Lemon Juice
200gm Butter
Method:
- In a bowl add butter, sugar and mix it nicely.
- Separate the white and yellow portion of an egg. Add
the white portion to the bowl. Do this for all 3 eggs.
- Mix it nicely.
- Also mix the maida and baking powder separately.
- Add half the yoghurt (100gm) and half the maida to
the bowl.
- Add the almonds and lemon juice to the mixture.
- Add the remaining yoghurt and maida.
- Now add the whites of the eggs to the bowl.
- Mix it with light hands properly.
- Take a tube-cake pan and grease it thoroughly with
oil or butter.
- Pour the mixture into it.
- Put the pan in a preheated oven (180 degrees
celsius) till it is done.
