Dal Benis
Ingredients
1 cup toordal
2 cloves garlic
1/2 cup coconut
4 medium onions chopped (corsely)
2 tomotoes
1 string of karipatha
1 handful of coriander leaves
1/4 tsp turmeric
1tsp chilli powder
3 green chillies
- Cook soaked dal with 1/2 onions, tomotoes, and turmeric with 2 cups
of water.
- See to that the dal is fully cooked (I cook with pressure cooker
upto 4-6 whisles.)
- Take a kadai ,fry onions,garlic and grind it with wet coconut and
coriander and make a paste
- After the dal is cooked add chilli powder and salt and biol it for
5-10 mins adding little water to it.
- Add the grinded paste to the dal and boil for another 10 mins on
low fire toll smell of the masala goes.
- Serve hot with chappatis, dosas, hot rice with ghee on it.
