Dal Bhafle

Ingredients

Wheat Flour (ata) 2 Cups
Milk 1/2 cup
Arhar dal 1 cup
Melted Ghee or Butter 1/2 cup
Salt to added to wheat flour

Method

  1. Take the wheat flour and knead it with a mixture to milk and water in a hard dough.
  2. Take some water in broad face vessel.
  3. Make medium sized rolls of the dough and add them to water and cook it until the rolls rise and come on top layer of water.
  4. Put these rolls in owen at 600 degrees for 15 minutes or until the rolls become light brown in colour.
  5. Take a thick cloth in your hand and remove the rolls from the oven, placing them in your cloth covered hand, and press them hard so that the dough rolls open up.
  6. Now put the rolls directly in the container holding melted ghee or butter.
  7. Finally cook arhar dal in any form---plain or fried .
  8. Serve them hot.

Combinations:

This dish goes very well with Baigan ka Bharta , Kari and Achaar.

Cooking Time:1 hour.
