Falafel

Ingredients

Soaked chickpeas - 1 cup
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Minced Onions - 1/2 cup
Minced Parsley - 2 tbsp (use coriander leaves if parsley not available)
Chillies - As spicy as you desired
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Coriander - 1 tsp
Minced Garlic - 2
Cloves
Lemon Juice - 1 tbsp
Blackpepper powder- 1 tsp
Maida/All purpose flour - 3 tbsp

Method:

  1. Grind all the ingredients to a coarse form without water.
  2. Heat oil in a Kadai for frying. Once the oil gets heated enough for frying, make patties out of the coarse mixture & fry them just like Vadas.
  3. Serve Falafel as an appetizer or as a evening snack.

Happy cooking!
