Hi,
I am Laxmi Bhatia. Many of us who stay abroad, miss the delicious chats available back home. Here is a chat, which is similar to the Dahi Papdi but with a small difference, without the trouble of preparing papadi. I tried this dish and everyone liked it. So I thought, I will share it with you all so that you can also enjoy it. I welcome any comments and suggestions to this recipe.

Wafer's Chat

Ingredients

Wafers
Potato - one medium size (boiled and smashed)
Onion - one small size (finely chopped)
Khari Boondi - 1/2 cup
Curd - 1-1/2 cup
Tamarind chuteny - 1/2 cup
Red Chilly powder
Roasted Cumin powder
Salt
Chat Masala

Method

  1. Mix boondi, salt, cumin powder and red chilly powder in curd, and prepare raita.
  2. Finely spread wafers in a plate.
  3. Spread mashed potato and onion over the wafers.
  4. Put raita and chat masala over it.
  5. At last put turmind chuteny as per taste.

Now wafer's chat is ready to eat. It tastes good when it is freshly made, as wafers get soft quickly.
