I am Sunanda Ramakrishna Pochiraju form Michigan. I am a working mom and I like to try new healthy and easy recepies to fit my busy schedule. We live a very healthy life style and one of my favourite dishes is salad. Try it and I am sure you'll enjoy it.

Carrot -Cabbage Salad

Ingredients

1 small green Cabbage, grated (you can use 1 package of readymade grated cabbage)
2 Green Chillies / Jalapenos
1/2 Lemon
Handful of Coriander leaves
4/5 Carrots and Salt to taste

For Tadka

Olive Oil (very little)
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
1/4 tsp Hing

Method:

  1. Grate carrots and cabbage
  2. Put the tadka and add Grated carrots and cabbage and fry them for 30 seconds till the raw smell goes away.
  3. Mix them well with chopped green chilli, lime juice and salt to make a salad.
  4. Garnish with Coriander leaves
  5. Serve them with Parathas, Poories or Rice.
