Palak Paneer

Ingredients

1. Fresh Palak
2. Paneer - 1/4 kg
3. Tomato Puree - 1 cup
4. Onions - 2 (ground into a fine paste)
5. Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tsp
6. Cumin seeds -1/4 tsp
7. Salt, Chilli Powder - to taste
8. Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Boil palak & cool. Then gind to make a smooth paste & keep aside.
  2. Cut the paneer into small cubes & fry in oil till golden brown.
  3. Heat a small amount of oil in a pan, add cumin seeds & let it splutter.
  4. Add the ground onions & tomato puree. To this add salt, chilli powder & garam masala powder & cook till oil leaves the mixture.
  5. To the well cooked mixture, add the palak & the paneer cubes & stir well. Add a little water if required. Bring it to a boil & remove from flame.
  6. Garnish with freshly cut Onions,Tomatoes & some Cream.
  7. Serve hot.
