Sardine Fish Masala Fry
Ingredients
For the fish:
5 Sardines-cleaned & scored on both sides
2 tsp Chilli Powder
1 tsp Salt
1 1/2 tsp Haldi
2 cloves of Garlic-crushed
For the Masala:-
1 large Onion
2 sprigs of Curry leaves
2 Dry Red Chillies
1/2 tsp Haldi
1/2 tsp Salt
Coconut Oil for frying
Method:
- Marinate the sardines with the ingredients for the fish for about 1/2 - 1
hour.
- Then pan fry in hot oil till they are slightly blackened on both sides.
- Drain the excess oil from the fish using kitchen papers.
- Then in the same oil add curry leaves & red chillies. Fry a bit.
- Add finely chopped onions to the same oil. Fry till golden brown. Add 1/2
tsp haldi.
- Add salt & the fish & mix well
- Serve hot with Hot Rice, Dal, Pickles & Salad.
