I am Rita from Freeport IL. I enjoy this site and this is my first contribution. Do try it and let me know your comments at ritajk@hotmail.com

Tuna Cutlet

Ingredients

Tuna - 1 small can
Potatoes - 3
Carrot - 1 (optional)
Green Peas - 1/4 cup(optional)
Onion - 1
Eggs -12 (optional)
Green Chillies - 5 to 6
Ginger, Red Chilli Powder, Garam Masala powder, Salt
Coriander leaves - a small bunch
Bread crumbs - as needed optional
Oil to fry.

Method:

  1. Cook potatoes, carrots, peas (can be made with only potato) and mash well. Add the tuna and keep aside.
  2. Fry chopped onions, chopped green chillies and chopped ginger.
  3. Add chopped coriander, salt to taste. Remove from Flame.
  4. Shape it to cutlets. The trick here is not to use even a drop of water, then we can get it in cutlet shape. If wet use a little cornflour
  5. Beat eggs well. Dip the shaped cutlets in egg and dip them in bread crumbs. (Using eggs is optional). Can directly dip the cutlets in bread crumbs.
  6. Spread these cutlets on a large plate and refrigerate them for 1/2 hour.
  7. Then Deep fry them in hot oil.

Excellent Evening snack or a meal time treat. Serve with Tomato Ketchup and tea.
