This is Jayanthy again, this time with Caulifower Manchurian. I learned this from my Mom. I hope you might have enjoyed the Sweet Pongal in my last recipe.

Cauliflower Manchurian

Ingredients

Cauliflower - 1 medium size
Maida - 2 tbl. spoons
Corn flour - 2 tbl spoons
Egg - 1 beaten (optional)
Onion - 1 big
Green chillies - 2 chopped
Ginger and Garlic - finely chopped 1 teaspoon
Chilli powder - 1/2 tea spoon
Aji-no-moto - 1/4 tea spoon
Oil for frying
Salt as required

Method:

  1. Wash and cut cauliflower into small flowerets. Boil it for two minutes with little salt.
  2. Mix maida and corn flour with little water and add egg to make a paste.
  3. Mix cauliflower into this paste and deep fry it till golden brown in hot oil.
  4. Heat oil in a pan fry onion, ginger-garlic, green chilli, chilli powder and aji-no-moto. Mix corn flour with little water (1 teaspoon : 3 teaspoon water). Add this into fry.
  5. And finally add deep fried cauliflower into the above mix and fry in high flame till it is mixed and fried well.
