Kaththirikkai Rasavangi
Ingredients
Brinjals - 100 gm
Oil - 1 tbsp
Tamarind Pate - Lime-size
Salt to taste
For Powder
Fry in little oil and grind
2 teaspoons of dhania
1 teaspoon each of tur dal, bengalgram dal
5 red chillies
Seasoning:
Hing - a pinch
Mustard - 1 tsp
Method:
- Wash and cut 100 gms of brinjal into long thin slices.
- Heat oil in a kadai.
- Add the brinjal. Cook for 5 mts.
- Add tamarind paste, salt and the powder.
- Add some more water. Cook till the brinjals are soft.
- Season with mustard and perungayam. (optional - curry leaves).
Serve hot with rice. Liked by even people who hate Brinjals.
