Rustic Dal
Ingredients
Tur Dal 1/4 cup
Channa dal 1/4 cup
Arhar dal 1/4 cup
Urad dal 1/4 cup
Channa 1/4 cup
Red chillies 3
Black pepper 1 tsp.
Jeera 1 tsp.
Dhania 1 tsp.
Tomatoes 3
Garlic pods 2
Haldi 1 tsp.
Salt to taste
Method:
- Soak all the dals together overnight. Then cook them well.
- In a blender grind together 2 tomatoes, jeera, black pepper,
dhania, garlic, haldi and 2 red chillies.
- Now in a heavy bottomed pan, pour some oil, add 1 red chilli and
the diced tomato and roast it for half a minute, then add the masala
paste and roast that too, till the raw smell is gone.
- Now add the dal and salt to taste, let it blend together
well. Your rustic dal is ready to eat.
