Mixed Masala Daal
Ingredients
Moong Dal (1/4 measures)
Toor Dal (1/4 measure)
Chana Dal (1/4 measure)
Massor Dal (1/4 measure)
Cloves - 4
Cardamom Seeds(Elaichi)
Cinnamon Sticks
Onions - 2 (chopped)
Tomatoes - 1 (chopped)
Green chillies - 2 (sliced)
Ginger & Garlic - paste (1 spoon)
Mint leaves
Salt- to taste
Haldi (turmeric)
Chilli powder (1/2 teaspoon)
Saute: Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds (jeera)- 1/2 tsp
Method:
- Put all the ingredients in a pressure cooker and cook till the daal is
done.
- Take a vessel, put oil, (mustard & cumin) seeds, and the cooked daal.
- Keep on stove for about 15 mins on medium gas. Sprinkle a little cut
coriander.
Serve hot. Serves about 4. This dish is good with hot chapatis or a
bed of rice.
