Hi,
I'm Sudha Mohan from Malaysia. An easy to make cake, soft and tasty. You can vary the taste by using the same recipe, except omitting the orange and adding cocoa powder instead.

Buttercup Orange Cake

Ingredients

10 oz Buttercup (can use margerine)
10 oz Castor Sugar
10 oz Self Raising Flour
1 level tbsp Cornflour
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
6 Eggs
1 Orange (extract juice)
1 tsp Orange Rinds

Method:

  1. Beat butter till white add sugar gradually and beat until fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time and beat until very light.
  3. Fold in the dried ingredients, adding the juice and rinds.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased baking tin. Preheat oven 350 F and bake for 40-50 minutes.

You can also do half of the above recipe.
