Hi!!
This is Usha Nagarajan from Goregaon(w), Mumbai-90, India here. Here is a recipe that I learnt from my friend. Try it.

Masoor Pulao

Ingredients

1 cup Basmati Rice
1/2 cup whole Masur Dal
2 Onions cut lengthwise
2 Tomatoes chopped finely
1 1/2 tsp Ginger, Garlic and Green Chilly paste
1 1/2 cups of cubed mixed vegetables (Beans, Carrots, Green Peas etc)
1 tbsp Everest Biryani Pulao Masala
3 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Jeera
Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash and soak the rice for about 1/2 an hour.
  2. In a thick kadai take 3 tbsp of oil add jeera fry for a second.
  3. Add Onions and fry till pink
  4. Add Ginger Garlic Chilly Paste and fry for a second
  5. Add all the mixed vegetables and fry for a minute
  6. Add 1 3/4 cup of water and let it come to a boil, Add Salt to taste.
  7. Add the rice and Biryani Pulao Masala too. Stir lightly and let the rice get cooked on low flame till all the water evaporates.

Note: If after all the water has evaporated and rice appear dry and under cooked you can sprinkle water and cook on low flame. Masur Pulao is ready. Serve hot with Salad and Chutney. Enjoy!!
