Mirchi Cha Ros

Ingredients

1/2 Coconut (grated)
1 tsp Turmeric powder
3-4 black Pepper corns
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1/2 tsp Hing
5-6 Curry Leaves
4 Green Chillies
1 tablespoon Oil
1/4 cup Water
A small piece Jaggery
2-3 Kokums
Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Blend the coconut, turmeric powder, pepper corns, one chilly and water in a mixer till it forms a fine liquidy paste.
  2. Heat oil and add mustard seeds. When they start poping add hing, curry leav es and remaining green chillies. Now add coconut paste to it and a little more water for a curry-like consistency. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add salt, jaggery and kokum just before removing from heat.
  4. Serve hot with Rice.
