Shrimp and Onions
Ingredients
1 pound Shrimps
3-4 Onions chops
4-5 Garlic cloves medium size
1 inch Ginger
Coriander leaves 1 handful
1 teaspoon Red Chili powder
1 teaspoon Dhania powder
1 teaspoon Jeera powder
Salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon Tamarind paste
Oil
1/4 cup Coconut Milk.
Method:
- Grind garlic, ginger and coriander leaves together in the form of paste.
- Chop onions into medium size.
- Pill shrimp covers and wash the shrimp
thoroughly.
- Apply all the ingredients to the shrimp including paste of
ginger, garlic and coriander, tamarind paste and mix it well.
- In a
medium size pot put oil and chopped onions and stir it thoroughly. Let
the onions be golden brown and pour all the shrimp mixture over the
onions and mix well and cover the pot to cook it well for 15 minutes
until it starts boiling in its own water. Then remove the cover and mix
it well again and pour coconut milk and mix it well and let it boil for
another 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with plain rice.
