I am Malini. This is a dish made of yam and raw bananas. It is a very old recipe, and not hard at all.

Eruseri

Ingredients

Yam- 2 big pieces
Raw Banana - 2
Pepper - 8 to 9
Salt to taste
Coconut - grated two full cups
Tamarind - a small ball
Rice Powder - 1 tbsp

Method:

  1. Pressure cook the yam and raw bannas in salt water.
  2. Make a solution of tamarind water.
  3. Drain off excess water from the pressure cooked vegetables and add them to the tamarind solution.
  4. Grind the pepper, rice powder and coconut with little salt and keep it aside.
  5. When the vegetables start boiling add the ground paste to it. When it has boiled for 20 minutes then close the gas.
  6. For garnishing heat a little coconut oil. Add mustard seeds, when they splutter, and urad daal and curry leaves. Then add to the mixture.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
