Masala Parwal With Dry Fish

Ingredients

For fillings:

Any Dried Fish - 250 gm
Red Chilli powder - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder - 2 tsp
Oil to fry.

For Parwal masala:

Big size Parwal - 500 gm
Tomato - 250 gm, chopped
Onion paste - 3 tsp
Ginger Garlic paste - 3 tsp
Whole Garam Masala few
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder - 2 tsp
Tamarind pulp - 1/4 cup
Water - 1-1/2 cup
Fresh Coriander to garnish.

Method:

  1. Make a mixture of all the fillings and fry it.
  2. Now peel and wash the parwal. Cut one end and clean it with a spoon. Stuff the fish fillings in it and close the end with a tooth pick and fry it lightly.
  3. To make gravy, Heat a pan add oil and whole garam masala. Add onion paste, garlic ginger paste, tomato and fry it. Now add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and tamarind pulp in it and fry untill it removes oil.
  4. Now add water and turned to boil, then add the stuffy and fried parwal in it. Cover it for 15 minutes with a slow flame. Garnish it with fresh coriander chopped and serve hot with rice.
