This is Nisha Katwala, from Chicago, IL. I love to try new recipes especially the ones from Bawarchi So here is my contribution. Everyone who has eaten this salad has asked me its recipe and I would like to share it with you. I am definite you will relish it as its a healthy salad. Do try it. Thank you.

Moong-Chana Sprout Salad

Ingredients

1 cup Moong dal (sprouted)
1 cup Kabuli Chana (sprouted)
1 large Beet
1 large Cucumber
1 large Tomato
1 large Onion
1 small leafy green Cabbage
1 small leafy purple Cabbage
1 small Green Pepper
Lemon Juice
Salt, Pepper (grounded), Ground Sugar, Chat Masala to taste.

Method:

  1. Steam beetroot in pressure cooker, allow one whistle. Peel and cut it into long pieces like fingers.
  2. Cut cucumber, tomato, carrot, onion, green cabbage, purple cabbage, green pepper into long pieces like fingers.
  3. Take a transparent Salad bowl. Place the beet, cucumber, tomato, onion....into the bowl. Spread the Moong and Chana sprouts.
  4. Add salt, sugar, lemon juice, grounded pepper, chat masala. Toss it with a fork till well mixed.
  5. Garnish with cilantro.
  6. Serve cold. Enjoy!!!
