My name is Muskaan from Dubai and I am posting my favorite dal `Khatti Dal'.
Here's the recipe:

Khatti Dal
Ingredients
1 cup Masoor Dal
1 tbsp Ginger/Garlic paste
2 ripe Tomatoes
Pinch of Turmeric
Red Chilli Powder (to taste)
Curry Leaves
Coriander Leaves
Salt
2 Lemons
For the baghaar
Zeera, whole Red Chillies
1 pod Garlic
Curry Leaves, Red Chilli Powder
Method:
- Boil the washed dal with tomatoes, ginger, garlic paste, red chilli
powder, turmeric and salt.
- Mash with ladle once totally softened.
- Add fresh curry leaves, coriander and all of the lemon juice.
- Heat oil, add zeera, whole red chillies, crushed garlic and red chilli
powder in that order.
- Cover immediately with lid. Serve hot.
