Dal Spicy
Ingredients
Tuvar dal - 1 cup
Coconut - 1/2 cup
Dhaniya - 1 spoon
Pepper - 1 spoon
Jeera - 1 spoon
Red Chillies - 3
Tuvar dal - 1 spoon
Urad dal - 1 spoon
Oil for frying - 3 table spoon
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds - 1 spoon
Jeera - 1 spoon
Curry Leaves
Onions finely chopped - 2
Tomato finely cut - 1
Method:
- Cook tuvar dhal in pressure cooker with turmeric powder and keep aside .
- In a Kadhai put 1 teaspoon oil and fry Dhaniya, pepper, jeera, Red chillies, tuvar dal and urad dal till done. Add 1/2 cup
coconut and grind the fried ingredients (with water) till smooth.
- Again in a kadhai pour two table spoon of oil and add mustard and jeera when it splutters add cut onoins, tomato and curry leaves. Let it fry till golden brown. Add 1/2 cup of water, ground paste and salt. Let it boil for few seconds. Add the boiled tuvar dal and mix well. Remove in a serving dish and garnish with fresh green coriander leaves. Dal is ready to serve.
