Vegetable Burgers

Ingredients

6 burger buns
6 big tomato slices
6 lettuce leaves
6 onion rings
tomato ketchup
chilli sauce (optional)
Kraft - Burger sauce(optional)
Kraft - Cheese slices(optional)
2 tbsp butter

For the cutlets:
3 teacups mixed vegetables(cabbage, carrots, beans, potatoes and peas)
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric
salt to taste
1-2 tbsp plain flour
chopped coriander leaves
bread crumbs
oil

Method

  1. Chop all vegetables finely. Heat the oil, add the vegetables, and stir for a minute.
  2. Add turmeric, red chilli powder and salt.
  3. Mix well, cover and cook till the vegetables are cooked.
  4. Check and now add plain flour, mix and cook a few minutes.
  5. Add coriander leaves, mix well.
  6. Shape this mixture into 6 cutlets, dip in bread crumbs and shallow fry on a nonstick pan adding just a few drops of oil.

How to Serve

  1. Slice each bun into two horizontally.
  2. Apply a thin layer of butter on the cut side and heat these buns for a minute.
  3. Now arrange burgers as follows: ketchup, lettuce leaf, prepared cutlet, tomato slice, onion slice and the other optional items.
  4. Cover the bun and serve hot.
  5. Arrange these burgers in a plate with potato wafers.
