Hai,
I am Roshini. I love cooking and trying new recipies. This saboodhana vada tastes great. Try out this recipe. My email id is muralikp@omantel.net.om

Saboodhana Vada

Ingredients

Saboodhana 1 cup
Ginger Garlic paste 2 tsp
Green Chillies 4 nos (grind it into a paste)
Potatoes 2 nos. (boiled and mashed)
Salt to taste
Groundnuts Powdered 1/4 cup
Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Soak saboodhana for 8 hours (or overnight if you want to prepare it in the morning).
  2. Strain water from the saboodhana and add the mashed potatoes, green chilli paste, ginger garlic paste, salt, powdered groundnuts and mix it well.
  3. Let the mixture be firm and tight.
  4. Heat oil in a Kadai and take the batter little and flatten it like a vada and fry in the oil.
  5. Let the vada get slightly cooked and then add add the next Vada. The vadas can get stick to each other if you attempt to fry 2 or 3 together. So care should be taken to add one by one after it is cooked. The vada is crisp outside and soft inside.
