Hi,
This is Bindu again. Following is a no fail recipe of chocolate cake. It turns out moist and bound to disappear in seconds. Hope you enjoy it. Send me your comment at binduchuen@hotmail.com

Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

6 oz Sugar
6 oz Butter or Magarine
3 Eggs
5 oz White Flour
1 oz Cocoa
2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
Quarter cup of Water

Method:

  1. Mix flour, cocoa and baking powder and keep aside.
  2. Mix butter and sugar in a mixing bowl and beat with a electric mixture until light and fluffy.
  3. Add 1 egg and a little flour mixture and mix.
  4. Continue adding the rest of the eggs and flour mixture.
  5. Add the vanilla essence and the water and continue beating on low speed till everything is mixed well. If you find the cake batter is still very thick add more water. (Never add milk as it makes the cake very heavy)
  6. Grease a 8 inch baking tray and pour the batter in it.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees till cake is cooked. (Insert a toothpick and if it comes out clean then the cake is cooked)
  8. Let it cool and ice it with any of your favorite icing or whipped fresh cream.

Note If you like your cake more chocolaty then reduce 1 oz of flour and add 1 oz of cocoa. If you want to make a vanilla cake then omit the cocoa and add that amount of flour instead. Go wild and try making this cake with strawberries or pineapple.
