Hi,
I am Jharna from Chandkheda, Ahmedabad again to share a new recipe. Its made from Kanthal i.e.raw Jackfruit, hope you also liked it.

Kanthal Kofta

Ingredients

For making Koftas

Kanthal - 500 gms
Boiled Potato - 1 big size
Green Chillies chopped - 2 tsp
Ginger-Garlic chopped - 2 tsp
Onion chopped - 2 tsp
Corn Flour - 2 tsp
Ajwain - 1 tsp
Salt - 2 tsp
Red Chilli powder - 2 tsp
Garam Masala powder - 2 tsp
Amchur powder - 2 tsp
Oil - 250 gms for frying the koftas.

For making gravy:

Whole Garam Masala - few
Bay Leaf - 2 nos
Onion paste - 1/4 cup
Ginger Garlic paste - 1/4 cup
Tomato Puree - 1/2 cup
Salt as per taste
Oil - 4 tsp
Turmeric powder - 2 tsp
Red Chilli powder - 2 tsp
Water - 2 cups
Beaten Fresh Cream - 1/4 cup.

Method:

  1. Cut and peel the Kanthal properlly and then wash and boil it with salt and turmeric powder. Then mash it and add all ingredients of koftas, and make small balls of it. Now fry it till golden brown.
  2. Heat a pan, and add oil. Add whole garam masalas and bay leaf into it. Now add all masalas and fry it till oil remove from masalas. Now add water and turn to boil. After boiling, add the koftas and cook it in a very slow flame for 10 minutes.
  3. Lastly add fresh cream and remove from heat.
  4. Serve hot with any rice or chapatis.
