Palak Pulav

Ingredients

1. 2 cups of Basmathi Rice
2. One bunch of Spinach leaves.
3.One small Onion finely chopped.
4. 6-7 flakes of Garlic.
5. 1-tsp Chilly powder.
6. 1/2 - tsp Coriander powder.
7. 1- tsp Garam Masala powder.
8. 1/2- tsp Cumin powder.
9. 3/4- tsp Turmeric powder.
10. 3/4- tsp powdered cloves.
11. 3/4- tsp Cinnamon powder.
12. 2- tsp Pure Ghee.
13. 60 ml of Tamarind Juice.

Method:

  1. Separate the spinach leaves from the stem and grind it well to paste.
  2. Rinse the rice well in water.
  3. Keep the pressure cooker and heat the ghee for 2 minutes, add onion and garlic fry it , till golden brown.
  4. Add all the power one by one, add rice, ground spinach paste, salt and 3 cups of water and keep this for 3 whistles.
  5. Serve hot.
