I'm Aruna Ramesh. I'm a stay- at- home mum and I would love to share an easy pudding recipe with you. It is a dessert dish which is rich and very simple in procedure. Bread Pudding

Ingredients

White Bread-4 slices
Whole Milk- 4 cups
Eggs - 3 large
Sugar- 15 tsp (aproximately)
Vanilla Essence-1 tsp
Almonds and Cashews chopped -1/4 cup
Raisins- to garnish.
Butter to grease the pan.

Method:

  1. Beat eggs in a bowl till slightly fluffy.
  2. Add sugar and mix for 2 minutes.
  3. Add slightly warm milk and mix till sugar dissolves.
  4. Mix in the essence.
  5. Tear up the bread slices and mix it into the bowl.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350oF.
  7. Grease a baking dish with butter. Transfer the contents of the bowl to the baking dish upto 3/4 the height of the baking dish.
  8. Add the nuts and raisins and bake for 40 minutes or till the pudding raises and a fork inserted into it comes clean.
  9. Let it cool at room temperature and then refrigerate.
  10. Serve chilled.

Utensils and Equipment Needed: Conventional oven, whisk, big bowl, baking dish.

PS:Can use 2% fat milk for the above recipe. For more punch add banana bits, apple bits without skin to make it nutritious.
