I'm Vasudha I reside in New York. I learnt this Bread/Egg breakfast dish from an American friend. It's called Tod on the Pond as it resembles a tadpole on a pond. Hope you like it!

Tod on Pond

Ingredients

1 Bread slice
1 Egg
A little Butter

Method:

  1. Using a bottle cap make a perfect hole in the bread.
  2. Add some butter on a non-stick pan and toast the bread.
  3. Add the egg such that the yolk sits inside the hole in the bread. Using a fork spread the egg white onto rest of the bread. Care should be taken not to break the egg yolk. Turn the bread once the bottom part has cooked. If the yolk needs to be cooked fully gently press it using a ladle after turning sides.
  4. Serve with Salt and Pepper.
