Green Channa Kabab
Ingredients
1 cup Green Channa (Choliya)
4-5 cloves of Garlic
2 inches of Garlic
1 cup Paneer grated or mashed
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
Red Chilli powder to taste
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
Oil for frying
Method:
- Soak the green channa overnight. Drain all the water and grind the green channa with garlic, ginger and cumin seeds without water or as little water as possible.
- Now put the ground channa in a bowl and mix the rest of the ingredients and the mashed paneer (which should be equal in quantity to the ground channa).
- Keep a shallow frying pan on the stove and drizzel a little oil on it.
Now take a little of the prepared mix in your hand and make a small round ball, flatten it by pressing the ball in your hands.
- Put it in the heated pan on medium heat, shallow fry (or deep fry) till it is brown on both the sides.
- Serve with mint chutny or tomato sauce.
Note: This recipe can also be made with fresh choliya when in season.
